What We've Accomplished
Our founder, Christine Umayam, traveled to the Philippines in December 2009 and
distributed your donations to families in flood-affected areas. As a result of your
generousity, Child United has personally helped over 250+ families living in Pangasinan.
More than a thousand families have been helped in Binan, Laguna and Cainta, Rizal.
Child United also helped three rural schools in 2009 by providing computers and donated
school books. Through the help of several sponsors, Child United is able to provide for
nine children so they can continue their high school education.
Christine also changed the life of one boy desperately in need of a wheelchair. George
was born without arms and legs and because of our founder, this is the first time he is
able to get around without any help.
In June 2009, one of our directors (Maureen Francisco) traveled to the Philippines and
brought two boxes of donations to an orphanage in Manila. She was able to bring smiles
to the children at Hospicio De San Jose, the oldest charitable organization in the
Philippines.
Christine traveled to the farms of Pangasinan in September 2008 where she provided a
rural school with thousands of books, gave school supplies to hundreds of children and
clothed dozens of families.
In the end, Child United's effort reached thousands of people in desperate need. They
brought HOPE, HELP and EDUCATION to many.
The organization's goal is to contribute to more third world countries and provide HOPE
and EDUCATION to all children in poverty.
It started with one person's idea and their ambition to make things happen! You can
